Treats To Make for Easter Weekend

Treats To Make for Easter Weekend

The Easter holiday is synonymous with treats, especially chocolate! Whether you are a chocolate-lover, or prefer other desserts instead, we are rounding up some of our favorite treats to make this Easter for kids and guests!

Rice Krispie Nests
This fun dessert is not only easy, but a great way to use up extra Easter treats left over from an egg hunt. This cute confection uses a muffin tin to mold your Rice Krispie treats to achieve the perfect shape, throw in some eggs, and you have a delicious nest of sweetness!

Carrot Cake Bars
This dessert is perfect for anyone who would like a break from chocolate, but still needs something sweet after a meal (also, we think the Easter Bunny would love this bar!). These bars have all the deliciousness of carrot cake, with the creaminess of cheesecake, making them a double whammy of goodness.

Easter Bread
A classic Easter holiday staple in many cultures is Easter bread. This traditional bread can be made in a variation of ways, but we love this recipe for the decorative egg and the braided design, it adds a nice touch! This type of bread is on the sweeter side, so be prepared for a touch of sweetness compared to typical bread.

Mini Egg Cookies
Now, our list of Easter treats would not be complete without mentioning these cookies. Mini Egg cookies are a delightful twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie, using Mini Eggs in place of the chips. We like to think these cookies are even better because of the pretty colors and added texture thanks to the candy. (Recipe and Photo courtesy of Weekend Craft)
